Although I mainly work on design make-overs and customisations, I am also happy to help clients with smaller jobs such as adding an audio link or a map to their website, or taking a batch of images and re-sizing them or cropping them to make them fit the size restrictions of a web-page.

RESIZING IMAGES

Many people find that logos supplied by a design company, or photographs taken on a digital camera will not load into their WebHealer / WebStall / WebVilla or Motor-Web image gallery because they are simply too big!

Trying to re-size an image when you don't have the correct software installed on your computer can be both time consuming and frustrating. However, I can not only re-size them for you, but can also add an attractive frame, a caption or just crop the image to focus on what is important in the image. I charge £25 per hour for helping with photographs but can optimise a large number of photographs in this time.

ADDING AN INTERACTIVE MAP

Having an interactive map on your website is a great help to your visitors and potential customers. Rather than linking to an external website, I can arrange for a map to be embedded in your webpage. This map has fully interactive features and can be zoomed in and out and can be viewed as either a street map, a satellite map or a hybrid of the two. The map can be set up to use your postcode to show your visitors your exact location. Like this map for Madame Tussauds in London:

ADDING AUDIO

Audio files are a very useful addition to a website. For example they can be used on a Home Page to add a more personal touch. Equally they can be used to help sell your services or to allow clients to access self-help materials such as hypnotherapy or exercise routines.

Usually adding audio to your website requires you paying rental for webspace, however, I can help you find free hosting for your files and can link the files to your webpages.

I have two main approaches for this - if you want the files to start playing as soon as the page loads then I can embed a media player in the webpage - like this:

Adding audio - a personal introduction

or if you want to files to be available for downloading and playing, I can link to the file like this:

(please note that your visitors will only be able to access and play the audio files IF they have the correct software installed on their computer eg QuickTime or Windows Media Player).
